first of all, your dress is really nice, okay well i dont like up-dos at all, but its prom, so maybe you can curl all your hair out, or half up half down, in a middle ponytail you know kind of high how the hair style is in, and the rest of it in curls :) or just plain straight your dress is really nice, so i'm sure you'll get lots of attention with that dress already :) have lots of fun.

that's a pretty dress. you shouldn't wear it down though, it would cover the straps. do a messy bun and have a couple curls down in the front.

Curl it with a curling iron. Make sure you use hair spray to keep it in hold. Then use clips to pull it back away from your face. I think that look is adorable.

This would be my suggestion. Keep you hair elegant like your dress. Curl it, simple california beach curls. Then if you wish you can pin up some curls for that short and long hair effect, layering. If your afraid your curls wont stay, use a slight film of Got 2 Be Sexy on your hair, it will get a little hard but at least the shine and the curls stay in!

I think you should side sweep your hair and put it in a low ponytail. You can even curl the ponytail if you want, and/or put a small rhinestone/sparkly clip in your hair on the side. Hide the elastic by wrapping a peice of your hair around it and securing it with a bobby pin. I think that will look very chic.

you should get a half pony-tail done and the hair that upi dpnt use get it in curls as well as your bags and then in the back with the hair from the pony-tail put that in curls and do something creative with it

Beauty colleges do hair for really cheap. Try looking online or in your phone book for a beauty college. Ask them for advice and pay the couple bucks for them to do it.

It depends a lot on the person who puts them in, but you're looking at 4-6 weeks. I've heard of so many horror stories of people who've had breakage down at the scalp from the sew in kind.

You might be better off going with temporary extensions that you can put in and take out yourself. Hair U Wear makes some great ones that clip in. You can take them out at night before bed and IF you feel like it you can pop them back in come morning. Jessica Simpson wears and endorses the Hair U Wear extensions and hair pieces called P.O.P.s (Put On Pieces). Price wise they are pretty darn reasonable too! You can get a set of really pretty synthetic extensions for under $100. The human hair ones are under $300.

Very short hair and Winterball/Prom?

I was wondering what other girls do with their short hair for formal dances and stuff.

My hair is dark dark brown, cut so in the back back it shows all my neck and then tapers to like chin length in the front. My bangs are short and cut across my face about an inch above my eyebrows. Kind of Egyptian/China Doll.

I have an appointment with my hair stylist (who's ALWAYS done my hair) on the day of the dance but neither of us have any set ideas. I want to have something to do with my hair.

I normally straighten it, and I want something different.

Any ideas? Please? =]
